A Day from Hell

Hey everyone. I'm back. What a contrast from the last post, right? So, I'll tell you about yesterday, but first let me update you on the week's happenings. Monday i already taken care of. Well, I don't know. I should have looked at the time stamp. Monday I came here and then went home to have mobility. I was sad because I missed my voice lesson. I know I need work on mobility, but sometimes it feels like I've hit a wall that I'll never get past. I'm learning how to get to 7-Eleven. That will be great when I'm comfortable because I can go to the ATM all by myself. Next should be the bank. LOL. Anyway, Tuesday I went to Children's Theatre again. I got to help be a vocal coach for the older kids because the acting coach said he couldn't sing. Wednesday was the same as Monday. Now, I'm up to yesterday. I had my doctor's appointment so I could get the physician's reports done for the guide dog applications. My first step was to get here. Access came early so i did get here easily before work started. The next step was to go to my doctor in Beverly Hills. Well, I'd asked for a 9:45 pickup. they gave me a 10:30. Oh yay. I had half an hour to get to Beverly Hills. I then had two ride shares. I got to the doctor's at 11:30. I waited 20 minutes and was called in. Problem! Access was at 12:15. the doctor wanted me to do a full physical with blood work and everything and it was taking forever to fill out the paperwork. So, I called Access. I told them that I needed a reservation for like 15-30 minutes later. They offered me a 2 o'clock. Well, I wanted to be with my students because I was nervous about having only a volunteer there. So, I canceled it and took a regular taxi. That was REALLY expensive. The driver got lost. *sigh*. I came back and worked on braille and enjoyed myself until 4:20. Well, my ride wasn't supposed to come until 5:30. Great. Anyway, thank God, it came early and I was the first drop off. I checked my e-mail which was full of people writing to me from Ziegler magazine. Who knew that one pen pal notice would get tons of e-mails? Anyway, then I got picked up by one of the choir members. I wasn't nervous because I knew I was safe as soon as I heard his voice. I confused him with a woman the first time I spoke to him on the phone. Oops. He's a smoker, which wouldn't bother me except that he smoked while he was driving which worried me. He said he sang bass and I just about fainted. I heard him sing a solo in choir. He was totally off pitch and off tempo. Wow. Anyway, when we went home he blasted Sharl Crow, sorry for the spelling but I forgot, and he was singing along to it. Finally, he dropped me off and I talked to Tasha for a little while and fell asleep. Over all, it wasn't a very good day and it all seems to come back to Access. Anyway, I have to go work now so I'll talk later.
